Latest From My Blog
My fourth annual trip with my friend, Reed Cabral, was a busy one. In five days, we flew to Baltimore, visited Shenandoah National Park, drove the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, and ended the trip at the Great Smoky Mountains. The scenery was amazing with the Fall colors hitting their peak.
The Blue Ridge Parkway was the highlight for me. 400+ miles and over 10 hours of driving, the views were spectacular. Reed and I stopped at no less than 50 of the overlooks.
At the Smoky mountains, one of the greater joys was meeting fellow photographers during a sunset on the highest peak at the park. Talking with others who share the same passion is one of the best parts of photography for me. Shoutout to Jeff Shen, one of the people I met on the trip. Hopefully we can meet up again in the future.
Of course, the dangers of Covid-19 loomed and I quarantined for two weeks after I arrived back home. Really hope things go back to normal in the near future.
I can’t believe it’s already September…Nine months into the year and this is only the second time updating my blog. My excuse is a combination of laziness and lack of photos. Before my trip, I couldn’t remember the last time this year I picked up my camera. In these strange times, event gigs are non-existent and my motivation to shoot, even just for fun, is at an all time low.
Despite all this, Ashley and I were able to book a trip to the Pacific Northwest recently. It was a trip unlike any with dealing with Covid-19. We were extremely careful throughout the trip and quarantined afterwards for two weeks. The trip itself was five days long, starting in Seattle, taking us to the Oregon Coast, through Portland to Mount Hood, and finally, to Mount Rainier. We spent hours messing with our itinerary and it turned into an incredible journey. We highly recommend the trip if you’re considering exploring the Pacific Northwest!
I received a promotion to start the new year, and what better way to celebrate than gifting myself a new watch? I’ve always liked black and gold bezels, and this Seiko SRPB55 caught my eye. The watch is otherwise known as the “Seiko Samurai”. The watch came with a black silicone strap, which I liked, but ended up switching out for a Crown & Buckle Marina leather strap.
Also included in this gallery are pictures of a few other watches in my collection: (1) Kemmner Tonneau (2) Gruen Precision Quartz Day-Date (my Lolo’s watch) (3) Casio AE1200WHD-1AV
First off, I wanted to share that I moved all my photos to Smugmug (bryanwebb.smugmug.com). From Facebook, to Google Photos, to Flickr, every single album I’ve shared since 2013 will be found there.
2021 was a year to remember. It was the year Ashley and I bought our first home together and it was the year we got engaged!
